1. Information We Collect
- Account and profile information. We may collect your name, mobile number, email address, login credentials, account identifiers, customer-support details and other information you provide when you register for or manage an account.
- Vehicle and charging preferences. We may collect vehicle make/model, charging preferences, saved locations, trip preferences and other details needed to help locate compatible chargers and plan charging sessions.
- Location and route information. The App may collect or use location data to identify nearby charging stations, support trip planning, estimate routes, show charger availability and improve location-based functionality.
- Charging session and transaction information. We may collect charging station identifiers, session start and end times, charging duration, energy consumed, session status, invoices, receipts, payment status, wallet/payment references and other records relating to charging sessions.
- Payment information. Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. We may receive payment status, transaction references and limited billing information. Full card, wallet or banking details may be handled directly by the relevant payment provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices. HGL is not involved in processing or handling customers’ full card, wallet, or bank account details.
- Device, app and technical information. We may collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, device identifiers, crash logs, diagnostics, security logs, performance data, server logs and similar technical information required to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the App.
- Support and communications. If you contact us, we may collect the content of your message, attachments, or email metadata, issue category, resolution history and feedback.
- Website cookies and analytics. If the App links to websites or web pages, those services may use cookies or similar technologies for site operation, analytics, security and user-experience purposes. Where required, additional cookie notices may apply.
2. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- App operation. To create and manage accounts, authenticate users, show chargers, plan trips, start and stop sessions, display session history, process payments and provide receipts.
- Charger network management. To support real-time monitoring, communication, remote diagnostics, billing integration, uptime management, incident reporting and operational analytics.
- Payments and billing. To process payments, reconcile charging sessions, issue invoices or receipts, address failed transactions, refunds or billing disputes and comply with financial record requirements. Payment and billing information is processed solely for these purposes and does not provide access to customers’ bank accounts.
- Support and maintenance. To respond to support requests, fix bugs, apply security patches, monitor outages, conduct maintenance, improve performance and maintain compatibility with iOS and Android updates.
- Security and fraud prevention. To detect, prevent and investigate misuse, unauthorized access, payment abuse, security incidents, data loss, malware, technical failures and other harmful activity.
- Analytics and improvement. To understand App usage, charger demand, charging-session performance, reliability, route-planning needs and user experience, including through aggregated or de-identified analytics.
- Communications. To send account notices, session alerts, service messages, payment confirmations, maintenance notices, security updates and, where permitted, marketing or promotional communications.
- Legal and contractual purposes. To comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and perform obligations relating to the App and charger network.
3. How We Share Information
- Service providers. We may share information with our third-party vendors. We take reasonable steps to share only the information needed for the relevant service purpose and, where appropriate, require such parties to maintain confidentiality and security protections.
- Payment processors. Data will be collected by payment gateways, banks, wallet providers, card networks and fraud-prevention providers to process payments, refunds, reconciliations and transaction checks.
- Charger-site operators and operational partners. Where required to provide charging services, resolve incidents, manage site access or support customer issues, relevant session or contact information may be shared with charger-site operators, maintenance teams or other operational partner,
- Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, regulator request or lawful authority, or where reasonably necessary.
- Business transfers. If HGL or relevant App assets are subject to a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. We may use and share aggregated, anonymized or deidentified information that does not reasonably identify individual users or HGL customers for service improvement, research, benchmarking, reporting and product development.
4. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, monitoring, security patches, vulnerability remediation, backups, incident response and supplier controls.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
5. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including, maintaining records, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, preventing fraud and enforcing our agreements.
Where information is processed by third-party vendors on HGL’s behalf, data export, deletion and back-up retention processes will be handled in accordance with HGL’s instructions and applicable service arrangements.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The App may use or link to third-party services, including payment gateways, maps, app stores, analytics tools, messaging providers and websites.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the App and on the relevant website with a revised effective or last-updated date. By using the App or browsing the website, you are accepting the privacy policy as amended from time to time. Please read the privacy policy carefully . By providing your personal details with us you are consenting to its use in accordance with our privacy policy.
